Within the product range the 2838T is the smallest articulated loader out of the T series. The letter T refers to the lifting arm and means telescopic lifting boom instead of the normal lifting boom of the L / S / H series. It is obvious that the extendable telescopic arm increases the reach by far, in both directions: to the front and in the height.
It reaches, fully extended, a height of 4.05 m at the shovel pivot pin. This is very high or far in the front, sometimes it is simply dangerous for an articulated loader, that is the reason why we execute our advice: 'the wider the loader is, the more stable it is in work'. The wide tires are part of the standard equipment: 400 / 50-15 AS profile, only to increase the bearing surface of the loader. It has an outer width of 1.38 m measured over the tires.
The rear chassis is identical to the one of his ‘brother’-loader with the normal lifting boom, the power source is a 38 HP Yanmar engine. The two-stage hydrostatic pump together with its axial piston motor, transfer gear box and cardan shaft are very well set up and harmonising nicely. 20 km/h top speed and high thrust due to the planetary gears in the axle hub are impressive. The angle of 55° in the centre articulation is enormous and guarantees very good manoeuvrability in the tightest of spaces. The two steering rams in the centre articulation ensure a balanced steering behaviour, to the left and to the right.

Compliant with EU emissions standards level 5 = Stage V with common rail injection technology, EGR and exhaust gas treatment with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and a diesel particle filter (DPF), but without Ad-Blue. Everything, including the regeneration, is managed by the Yanmar’s ECU.
Exhaust gas treatment system granted for 6000 maintenance-free operating hours = Yanmar’s proper trust and confidence in their own exhaust gas treatment technology.
