3448 Wheel Loader
And now for sure, the Thaler loader 3448 L / S / H quits the category of the Yard loader, it is a professional wheel loader of the 3-to-category with its fixed centre articulation and the oscillating rear axle. It is the smallest wheel loader on the market with a rigid, heavy duty centre articulation and an oscillating axle in the rear, just like the very big and large wheel loaders. We do mount even more comfort and security: a set of leaf springs is supporting and smoothening the oscillation movement of the rear axle.
Do you know the background of the oscillating rear axle? - It's a question of safety, because the momentum of tipping over to the side happens later, because the rear chassis serves as counterweight for the load in/on the lifting boom a little moment longer.
A word about engine technology:
Manufacturer: Yanmar - 4 cylinders with 35.4KW or 48 HP
Compliant with EU emissions standards level 5 = Stage V with common rail injection technology, EGR and exhaust gas treatment with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and a diesel particle filter (DPF), but without Ad-Blue. Everything, including the regeneration, is managed by the Yanmar’s ECU.
Exhaust gas treatment system granted for 6000 maintenance-free operating hours = Yanmar’s proper trust and confidence in their own exhaust gas treatment technology.
However, it remains a compact wheel loader and shows an excellent interaction and coordination between the hydrostat and the drive line with transfer gear box and the cardan shaft. For its size, it has enormous pushing forces and very good tipping loads, thanks to the enormous round cast rear weight and the oscillating axle in the rear. It looks aesthetically modern and nice with the rear hood made of GRP and has everything like a big one, even a cabin if you wish.
For the 3448, we paid also attention to the criteria of accessibility to buildings, with 1.16 m as the minimum width it is narrow and the angle of the centre articulation of only 55° offers supplementary manoeuvrability. Two rams, one on each side, are mounted in the articulation and offer a very equal and good steering behaviour.
Just for information: the model name provides information about the maximum height of shovel pivot pin of the lifting boom.
The abbreviation L / S / H means:
2838 L: short lifting boom on a low front chassis for high tipping loads at a relatively low maximum height of the shovel pivot pin = 2.76 m
2838 S: Standard lifting boom on a standard front chassis for normal tipping loads at standard heights of the shovel pivot pin = 3.13 m
2838 H: Longer lifting boom on a standard front chassis with a minor decrease in tipping loads and for better heights of the shovel pivot pin = 3.33 m
