The Thaler model Thaler-Teleskoplader 48T18-DPF belongs to the category of the Mini-telehandlers and unifies all the advantages of a material handling vehicle with rigid frame and the 4-wheel steering system, especially in terms of safety at work and tipping loads. Guiding line was and still is the compactness in the overall dimensions, minimum overall width below 1.80 m and height above the cab of less than 2 m while keeping the centre of gravity as low as possible together with an acceptable ground clearance. The major advantage is the height of the shovel pivot pin of 4.90 m. The concept of telehandler has been respected in full: the cab has a centre position between the two axles and the telescopic lifting boom is placed in the centre of the handler in the direction of travel (not eccentrically positioned), both great advantages for driving comfort and live expectation.

The 48T18 is part of our production range since the end of 2012 and we are continuously developing it to improve its versatility and reliability. Here is a small selection of highlights of its success story:

• End of 2014 – Aigner develops a hydraulic three-point linkage in the rear, a bolt on version
  

• May 2015 - Successful certification stability test – organised and tested by DEKRA - for operating the 48T18 with a working platform in a two-man operation

• April 2018 - successful certification as a tractor by TÜV-Süd or, in German wording:  LOF. ZUGM. (Land- oder forstwirtschaftliche Zugmaschine) with Q1 = trailer load with overrun braking system: 4000 kg and with Q2 = trailer load without brake: 750 kg,

Automatic hitch and / or ball head coupling available.

Of course, the adequate options are available and mandatory for obtaining the corresponding approvals, they need to be installed at the factory.

A word about engine technology:

Manufacturer: Yanmar - 4 cylinders with 35.4KW or 48 HP

Compliant with EU emissions standards level 5 = Stage V with common rail injection technology, EGR and exhaust gas treatment with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and a diesel particle filter (DPF), but without Ad-Blue. Everything, including the regeneration, is managed by the Yanmar’s ECU.

Exhaust gas treatment system granted for 6000 maintenance-free operating hours = Yanmar’s proper trust and confidence in their own exhaust gas treatment technology.
